Please note, you will receive an email a few weeks prior to the start of camp that includes what campers should bring.
Additionally, we are a beginners riding school and focus on the basic riding skills as well as horsemanship, however if your child is more advanced we break the camp up into two levels. Riders deemed more advanced will be able to do more advanced riding.

What campers will learn: Riding skills, equine safety and handling, grooming, bathing, nutrition, learn about tack, how to put on saddle/bridle, lead a horse, lunge a horse, know about horse breeds, how to measure a horse, how to identify and treat a sick horse, how to prepare for a horse show, and many other horse related education.
Daily lessons prepare campers for a horse show that occurs on-site every friday morning of camp.
We will have horse related activities and after our horse show on Friday, we have pizza and slip N slide.
Campers also interact with our miniature ponies and donkeys.
When you register, keep these experience levels in mind:
Beginner: Trail or pony rides/less than one year of lessons.
Intermediate: Lessons for two to five years and may compete at horse shows.

Here's a typical day of camp:
9:00 check in
9:15 - 11:30 groups do three rotations: 1) Riding lesson, 2) Barn/horse care, 3) craft
11:30 - 12:30 Eat Lunch, daily activity
12:30 Pack up, say goodbye to the horses

CAMPERS DAILY CHECKLIST:
1. Drop off is 9:00am and pickup is 1:00pm. There is no early drop off.
2. Campers should wear long pants and closed toed shoes. It's highly recommended that campers wear clothing that can get soiled with dirt and/or washable paint.
3. Lunch and water bottle. Please make sure all items are labeled with your child's name!
4. Apply sunscreen, as we will be outside during camp hours.
5. We will provide a riding helmet, but if your child has their own helmet, please bring it to camp and make sure it has their name on it.
6. ONLY ON FRIDAY - we have a pizza party and water activity. Only send lunch if your child has specific food allergies. Also, pack a bathing suit, or clothing that can get wet and a beach towel.

TERMS FOR CAMP ENROLLMENT:
1. Liability Waiver/Photo Release Forms: All campers are required to sign a current Liability Waiver and Photo Release form. These forms are included with your confirmation packet. Printed copies will also be available for signature on the first day of camp.
2. Dismissal of Camper: The camp reserves the right to dismiss, in its sole discretion, any camper who appears physically sick, or whose condition, conduct, influence, or behavior is deemed unsatisfactory or detrimental to the best interest of the Camp of her/his fellow campers or who violates Camp rules and regulations, in which case no refunds will be made.
3. Extended Care: NO Extended care is available for this camp.
4. Late Arrival/Early Departure: No reduction in enrollment fees will be made for late arrival of early departure of camper.
5. Medical: Parent grants permission to utilize medical treatment should the camp staff deem such treatment necessary for the well being of the camper. Said parent will pay all medical expenses involved. Parent understands this camp does not provide medical insurance of any kind for the camper.
6. PAYMENT: Full payment is due at the time of registration.
7. REFUND: We know life happens! If you need to cancel your week of camp, we require written notice 7 days prior to your start date of camp. If notice is received less than 7 days prior to your start date of camp, your final payment will not be refunded.
8. TRANSFER POLICY: If you need to change your week of camp, you are allowed one free transfer. Each additional transfer will cost $25.

From the south: Take I-5 N to exit 36 for Via De La Valle. Turn right on Via De La Valle. In 1.5 miles, turn left on El Camino Real. In 0.5 miles, turn left on Sun Valley Rd. Destination is the 2nd driveway on the left. 

From the north: Take I-5 S to exit 37 for Lomas Santa Fe. Turn left on Lomas Santa Fe Dr. Stay in the left lane and in 1.2 miles, turn right on Sun Valley Rd. At the bottom of Sun Valley Rd, turn left. Destination is the 1st driveway on the right.
